Llavona,

I had my miscarriage at just about 12 weeks as well. I hadn't been diagnosed with hypo at that point but was soon after and the doctors were pretty sure that the miscarriage was related to my condition. It was weird because there wasn't an embryo to be found just the development of an amniotic sack. The fertilization process took place only long enough to start to hormonal process which created the sack and then the fertilized egg just dissolved soon after. So there never really was a baby just a false pregnancy. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

Now the other thing that I want to say to you is that if you still don't have health insurance then you really should go to a clinic or someplace where you can get a free medical check up so that you can get your meds. This is extremely important or you could end up facing serious health issues that will affect your heart and mind. Find a way to get back on your meds no matter what.

I have had hypothyriod problem for years and i have a 7 & 8 yr old that when i was pregnant i just had to monitor my T4 and a couple times adjust my synthriod. I hadn't been on my meds in a while because i had no health insurance but i got pregnant 8/2010 but had a misscarriage at 12 weeks. not sure if it was throid related. i do know that having such a problem can make it hard for you to get pregnant but is possible just talk to your doctor

rmn,

My thyroid issue went off the wall and became extremely evident just after a false pregnancy during hormonal changes. That's when I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. My meds have been regulated for quite a few years now and it took about a year for my thyroid levels to be regulated.

I realize I'm a little late here, but better late than never. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism DURING pregnancy, and my synthroid dosage was 50mcg the entire pregnancy. It was perfectly safe for the baby. My baby is now 10 mos old and healthy as a horse! However, my thyroid has gone berzerk since having my son... and I"m now up to 112mcg of synthroid... it's very frustrating

i was just diagnosed as having hypothyroidism by my specialist this month. he asked me to take 50mcg of synthroid. is it ok to be pregnant this month, too, or hold it for a little later?
